How to Fall in Love With Yourself This Valentines (and Everyday!)
Tomorrow is the big day!
Valentines is the day for romance that falls on every 14th of February.
I personally love Valentines whether I’m single or in a relationship. Valentines Day has the potential to be one of the loveliest days of the year, and that’s because to me… it’s all about love… self-love!
Here are my 5 tips for how to show yourself some self-love on this special Sunday!
1. Take yourself on a date
Why not date yourself? We spend so much time trying to get to know others, but first I believe you’ve got to spend time with yourself and enjoy it!
Take yourself for a walk, grab yourself a coffee and listen to your favorite podcast.
2. Do something for yourself
In the same vein, we often forget to do things for ourselves and ourselves only. For me, I like to embrace creativity just because it makes me feel good.
This Valentines, start a hobby!
I love to connect with myself by painting. Producing art is a known stress reliever and helps me to tap into my emotions. Plus, you usually end up with something beautiful!
3. Make some delicious food
Food is a total practice of self-love.
Since a lot of restaurants aren’t open because of the pandemic, I’ve been trying out new tasty and nutritious recipes.
Food tastes better when you know the work you put into it!
4. Practice gratitude in a journal
Self-love starts with you. Every morning and night, I journal and note down how I’m feeling and practice gratitude for the wonderful life I live. I can also write my goals, dreams, aspirations, and manifestations.
“Journal writing, when it becomes a ritual for transformation, is not only life-changing but life-expanding.” – Jen Williamson
It’s such a therapeutic experience and I can’t recommend it enough. Getting to know myself through journaling can help me realize my worth and potential.

5. Spread the love!
Now that we’re on the wonderful journey of loving ourselves, it’s time to spread that love!
We may not be able to see our favorite people as often as we’d like to because of the covid restrictions, but we can still send a card!
